Xyanide is a classical 2D/3D Shoot´em up game, where the player takes over the role of Drake, a government executioner from the planet Mardar. Aboard a small but agile fighting ship, his task is to guide the evil witch Aguira into the great maelstrom to be sure of her final judgment. But as an asteroid hits Aguira’s prison ship, chaos ensues – and Aguira tries to escape her fate by creating worlds filled with the fiercest creatures, enemies and evil manifestations of her imagination.
Aguira, the witch, has been sentenced to death by the Judges of Mardar. The charges: Devestation of Worlds and Civilisations. The Sentence: Disintegration by dumping into the maelstrom. Drake is the chosen guard who will be escorting the execution craft and enforcing the sentence.
But upon arrival, an asteroid hits the execution craft which contains the element Xyanide, a substance which immediately materialises thought. Drake witnesses the instant creation of hostile worlds between the execution craft, holding Aguira, and his own fighter as he realises that she will use the Xyanide as a tool to aid her escape. | Worms is a turn-based strategy game where teams of worms battle across bizarre randomly generated landscapes, or across finely crafted custom designed levels. Each team takes it in turns to pick off the opposing teams using crazy weapons, tools and other utilities they may have discovered and whatever foul strategies they can conjure. Worms die when they lose all of their energy or plunge into the icy depths of the water surrounding the levels. The winning team is the one that manages to survive the mayhem and have worms left standing when the dust settles. Players have a set time in which to make their move before the game automatically switches to the next team. During your turn, you can select which worm to use and either let it’s arsenal loose on the enemy or move the worm to a safer position.

Worms 3D also features stunning 3D animation of the Worms themselves, which surpasses anything seen in Worms titles to date, including the FMV sequences seen in previous games!
Worms 3D uses a proprietary, all-new deformable polygon/voxel landscape engine that allows the player to destroy any part or ALL of the landscape, from any direction.
Shoot through the floor, make a hole and shoot at the player below you on a plateau!
Tunnel your way through the hillside! Blast your way through! Watch as the landscape crumbles, sinks and deforms as you use progressively more powerful weapons!
Unlike other engines, the technology allows you to explode any part of the land, create holes, tunnels, cliffs, caves and emulates the way the game played in 2D. We`re pretty pleased with it.
